Roger's operation

Hello Everybody,

This is Christine signing in for Roger. We had a lovely holiday in Bulgaria.
Roger has his operation last Thursday (8th) to remove a lump in the salivery gland. Roger had a bad re-action to the anaesthetic after as he was on the slab for 5 hours. The body shut down and he had more wires, drips, oxygen tubes etc than I've ever seen!!! Fortunately, they managed to stabilise him and later the surgeon and anaesthetist told him that he is a resilient and tough old bu***r! He's home now and it's wonderful because he can't talk (don't really mean it). I'm just glad he's home in one piece. He has to see the nurse on Tuesday and wait for a letter from the surgeon telling him when to go back and see him. I don't know how to put a photo on to the blog, so I'm emailing it seperately to Gail, hopefully she can combine the message and photo into one. It's a photo Roger insisted I took of the wound because it would be hard to describe it as it looks like a zip on the side of his face. He only needs a bolt in the neck to be a real Frankinsteinish bloke.

Hope everybody else is O.K. Roger sends his regards to everyone in the P.T.A. and he needs some TLC next Season.

Best wishes from Christine (Wass)
