Ian proposes to take Arnie to Colchester 18th - 19th July
Colchester Military Festival and Colchester Chariot Spectacular
Multi-era living history and arena displays of Classical Greek warriors to modern army troops.
Day one forms a central part of the huge army show,
Day two includes Roman chariot racing, gladiatorial combat and armoured Imperial soldiers
One of the best multi-period shows in the season, with plenty to see and other societies to compete with. The SK has been allocated the main arena on both days for the ECW display and a good turnout is desired.
See also Waller’s 16th Lancers (1914) and Prince Rupert’s Blewcoats’ First Foot Guards in their own displays in the small arena.
Host Regiment: Sir William Waller’s Lifeguard of Horse.
Campsite available from Friday pm. Toilets and showers available in sports pavilion.
Open to all Regiments but booking essential to obtain vehicle pass to get you past the military checkpoints.
If you are interested can you give me or Ian a email to book folks in.
